Breaking news: Omar Nino Stripped of Title, Brian Viloria to fight for Vacant title

WBC Light featherweight champion Omar Nino was stripped of his title after failing a drug test following his disputed draw over Brian Viloria. Nino was stripped of his title after testing positive for methamphetamines.


WBC Light featherweight champion Omar Nino was stripped of his title after failing a drug test following his disputed draw over Brian Viloria. Nino was stripped of his title after testing positive for methamphetamines.

After losing the title to Nino in August of 2006, and fighting to a very disappointing and contrversial draw, Viloria will have his chance to reclaim the title. The WBC has announced that Viloria will face #2 ranked Edgar Sosa for the vacant title.
