Chasing the Dream: Holyfield vs. Savarese Tonight!

holyfieldelpaso.jpgEl Paso, TX (June 30th) – Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield looks to continue on his road to a heavyweight championship when he takes on Lou Savarese live from the Don Haskins Arena in El Paso, Texas. This is Holyfield’s fourth fight since returning to boxing after suffering three straight losses, shoulder surgery, and having his boxing license removed by the New York State Athletic Commission. The fight is available on pay-per-view.

Holyfield’s (41-8-2, 27 KO’s) desire to return to boxing came after witnessing the demise of American heavyweight boxing. Still far from a convincing win that can prove his doubters wrong, Holyfield is just focused at taking down one opponent at a time. But for Holyfield, who turns 45 this year, it’s important to make a big statement tonight in hopes of earning a title shot.
Savarese (46-6, 38 KO’s) is fighting the second biggest fight of his career. The first came in June of 2004 when he was knocked out in the first round by Mike Tyson. Savarese is a tall, strong fighter, who has a devastating right hand that can knockout any heavyweight. If he can stay patient, use his jab, and stay away from Holyfield’s head butting, then he’ll have a good shot at defeating Holyfield.
Make sure to catch the fight tonight live on pay-per-view at 10pm ET/7 pm PT.
