HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (November 19, 2010) – Son of the living legend, Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr.(41-0-1, 30 KOs), of Culiacan, México, and four-time Trainer of the Year World-Famous Freddie Roach will be getting into the spirit of Thanksgiving by giving away free turkeys, This Tuesday! November 23, to the first 200 fans who show up at the parking lot of the Wild Card Boxing Club (1123 North Vine St. — one block north of Santa Monica Blvd — Hollywood, Calif. 90038), beginning at Noon PT. Following the turkey giveaway, Chávez Jr. and Roach will host a Media-Only Workout inside Wild Card, beginning at 1:30 p.m. PT.
Chávez Jr. is training for his upcoming World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver middleweight title defense against The Contender alumnus ALFONSO GOMEZ (22-4-2, 11 KOs), of Guadalajara, México. The 12-round Chávez Jr. – Gomez title fight headlines “In Harm’s Way” – their December 4 championship pay-per-view rumble – which will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Promotions and Tecate, “In Harm’s Way” will be televised Live on Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
