Arturo Gatti (40-7) will take on Carlos Baldomir (42-9-6) live this Saturday from Atlantic City, NJ. In what is expected to be a very exciting fight from start to finish, Baldomir and Gatti will have their Welterweight Titles, IBA and WBC, up for grabs.

Baldomir, the pride of Argentina, has the type of record that would have sent most boxers into retirement, but instead has turned himself into a champion. He has built a winning streak since 1999, but no victory was all that impressive, and against quality fighters, until he scored a Unanimous Decision victory over Zab Judah in January. His victory not only shocked Judah, who looked at the fight as a tune up to his Mayweather fight, but the entire world. Now he looks to prove that he is the real deal against Gatti. A loss destroys all that he’s achieved the past 7 years, so boxing fans shouldn’t expect anything but the best.

Gatti, New Jerseys hometown hero looks to add another Light Welterweight title around his waist. He recently claimed the vacant IBA Light Welterweight Title with an impressive TKO victory over previously undefeated Thomas Damgaard. Gatti showed off what has made him so popular in boxing: An energetic, full of heart, never quit attitude and he broke his wrist. His fights keep boxing fans wanting more, which has given him the opportunity to headline many boxing cards and receive big paydays (this fight will be his 20th appearance on HBO).

Don’t forget to tune in this Saturday, 9pm EST, from Atlantic City, NJ LIVE on HBO!
