Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was victorious by majority decision in an exciting six round bout against Carlos Molina. Chavez Jr. started out a little rusty, but came on strong in the later rounds, constantly punishing Molina’s body with the signature Chavez left hook. Sitting ringside was boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. who was not too happy with his son’s performance. This was the second meeting between the two fighters. The first contest ended in a controversial draw. Chavez Jr’s record improves to 24-01 while Carlos Molina’s record falls to 8-1-1.
