
Wladimir Klitschko needed only 2 rounds and one hand to defeat Ray Austin Saturday night in Germany. Klitschko (48-3, 43KO’s) landed four devastating lefts that sent Austin (24-4-4, 16KO’s) sprawling to the floor. He was unable to rise before Referee Eddie Cotton counted to 10.
Austin seemed to come out strong in the first round, landing several soft jabs and avoiding any damage from Klitschko. However, it was evident early in the second round that Austin was not on the same level as the much stronger and polished Klitschko. After landing a huge jumping left that stunned Austin, Wladimir through three more lefts that sent the American Heavyweight to the floor.



Looking towards the future, Wladimir said he’s is looking forward to unifying the titles. On Vital’s return, Wladimir said he could not be happier that his brother is health and is returning to the ring. They are looking to becoming the first brother duo to hold pieces of the Heavyweight Championship at the same time.
