Boxing’s most exciting fighter, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, may be taking his next fight north of the Border to Vancouver, Canada. Pacquiao (44-3-2, 35KO’s) and his promoter Bob Arum wanted to have their next fight in Macau, China. However plans seem to have fallen through. Vancouver, which reportedly has a large Philipino population, has been mentioned as a replacement. The last time a world renowned champion fought in Vancouver was May 1st, 1972, when Muhammed Ali won the NABF Heavyweight Championship against George Chuvalo.
In his last bout, Pacquiao succesfully defended his Super featherweight title against Slick Mexican Jorge Solis. Following his win, Pacquiao suffered his first loss since 2005, when his bid for a congressional seat in the Philippines came up short. With politics out of the picture, we can expect to see a fully motivated Manny Pacquiao in the ring later this year.
