Mora Backs Out Of Fight With Taylor!

A fight between Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor and Sergio Mora has been called off. According to reports, Mora refused to fight in Memphis, Tennessee because of the lack of hispanics that would be able to make it to the fight. Mora was set to receive a million dollars to fight Taylor, but instead has chosen to walk away.

IBF Junior Middleweight champion Cory Spinks is rumored to be taking Mora’s place. Spinks would have to move up in weight to 160 (his natural weight is 154). No matter who they found, it is 100% certain that Jermain Taylor will be fighting someone on May 19th at the FedEx Forum. Who do you guys think Taylor should fight next? IBF Champ Arthur Abraham is cleared to fight after having successful jaw surgery. That would be a great unification fight.

Serigo who? Are you kidding me? Of course he wouldn’t face the middle weight champ. Taylor is in a different league than Mora. Not to say that there weren’t quality fighters on that show but this fight would have been an embarassment for Mora. I think he did the right thing by running as fast as he could in the other direction
