Looking to continue its streak of great fights, Showtime boxing presents two championship bouts this weekend. On Friday night, live from the Chumash Casino in San Ynez, California, the highly regarded undefeated Vic Darchinyan takes on Diosdabo Gabi for the IBF and IBO flyweight titles. The Aussie native Darchinyan (24-0, 19KO) will be fighting for only the second time in the United States. Gabi (26-2-1, 18KO) is coming into the fight undefeated in his last 14 fights. The fight will be shown live on Showbox starting at 8pm EST.

And on Saturday night, live from Manchester England, Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy will take on the Pride of Wales, undefeated Joe Calzaghe for the IBF/IBO and WBO Super Middleweight title. Calzaghe (40-0, 31 KO) will be hoping to establish himself among the boxing elite with a victory in Manchester. Lacy (21-0, 17KO), who comes into the fight after a sensational knockout victory over journey man Scott Pemberton, hopes to avoid walking in the footsteps of Kostya Tszyu, who also came to England and was taken apart by Ricky Hatton. The flight will be shown live on Showtime starting at 9pm EST, 2 am local Manchester time.
