Oleg Maskaev would accept a fight with Bernard Hopkins, if the possibility ever presented itself. As long as his management would approve the fight, he would be more than willing to go up against the newly retired former Middleweight King. In fact, Golden Boy Promotions, which Hopkins partially owns, has been calling the Heavyweight Champs management, and letting them know that they are serious about getting the two fighters into the ring together. This, however, wouldn’t be the same as Roy Jones Jr. fighting Heavyweight slob John Ruiz, because Makaev can throw a punch and doesn’t hold 100 times a fight like the above mentioned slob.
