On January 20th, the Paris Hotel Las Vegas has been named the host site for Ricky Hatton`s first Las Vegas bout. The fight, which was rumored to be set in Atlanta, GA, will feature the pride of Manchester, Ricky Hatton (41-0, 30KO) against IBF Light Welterweight champion Juan Urango. Urango (17-0-1. 13KO) won the title vacated by Hatton last June with a unanimous decision over Naoufel Ben Rabah. The fight will be for the IBF and vacant IBO light welterweight titles
Urango (17-0-1. 13KO) won the title vacated by Hatton last June with a unanimous decision over Naoufel Ben Rabah. Hatton will be coming back down to his naturel weight of 140lbs after struggling against Luis Collaxo in his first, and possibly, last fight at welterweight.
Also on the card, Jose Luis Castillo will be returning to the ring in a WBC light welterweight title eliminator against Herman Ngoudjo (15-0, 9KO). Castillo (54-7-1, 47KO), who had trouble making weight in his last couple of fights, will be turning to the 140lbs division in hopes reviving his career.
If both fighters are victorious, it is expect that they will meet later this year in what should be an explosive battle.
