Ricky Hatton has decided to drop his newly crowned IBF LIght Welterweight title rather than fight #1 contender Lovemore N`Dou, according to Hatton`s management. Hatton and Jose Luis Castillo were set to fight in June for the title, but after N`Dou won his elimination fight, N`Dou`s management demanded that Hatton skip the fight with Castillo.
As reported earlier, a fight with Castillo has been planned for months and is a bigger sell to both HBO and American fight fans. It is also financially smarter for Hatton to go with a Hatton-Castillo fight, rather than a Hatton-N`Dou.
