Shannon Briggs and Sultan Ibragimov Fight For Title - Strategic Promotional Partnership Formed

New York, May 23, 2007 – The New York based multicultural marketing firm, Global Advertising Strategies, has agreed to sponsor the WBO Heavyweight Championship on Saturday, June 2nd at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

In one of the most anticipated battles of the year, the current heavyweight champion, Shannon Briggs will square off in a 12-rounder against the Russian fighter Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO Heavyweight title.

Global Advertising Strategies will promote this championship throughout ethnic communities in the United States. Within America’s diverse culture more and more people stay connected to their ethnic roots through international satellite broadcast networks. Global Advertising Strategies will ensure that this championship is publicized to all audiences in our multicultural communities.

“Fight fans, all over the world, are looking forward to this match-up,” said Boris Chernyy, Vice-President of Project Development for Global Advertising Strategies. “Our goal is to drive as many supporters as possible to Caesars Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City to rally for their champion.”

The Brooklyn born Briggs, 35, continues to thrill boxing fans ever since he won his first-ever World Title from former WBO Heavyweight Champion Sergei Liakhovich last November. In an electrifying performance, Briggs stopped Liakhovich in the 12th and final round and a new champion was born. This will be the first time Briggs has been called to defend his WBO Heavyweight title.

Briggs will face stiff competition when he comes face-to-face with former Olympic Silver Medalist Sultan Ibragimov, 31. Ibragimov is known as an exciting two-fisted puncher whose aggressive attack and power can quickly overwhelm any opponent. Should Ibragimov claim the title, once again all four championship belts will be held by fighters from former republics of the Soviet Union.

“I’m tired of talking about the fight,” said Ibragimov recently. “I just want to get in the ring and take my title. I won’t be denied my dreams.”

“Ibragimov and Briggs are two of the best Heavyweights in the world today,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing. “With the WBO Heavyweight title on the line, Global helps to ensure we have as many fans as possible at Boardwalk Hall to support this event.”

This premier WBO Heavyweight Championship is being promoted by Seminole Warriors Boxing and Golden Boy Promotions in association with Caesar’s Atlantic City, Nafka Moskva, Golden Grain, CSI Sports, Main Events and Global Advertising Strategies.

If you wish to be part of the excitement at Caesars Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City tickets are available through Ticketmaster by dialing 212-307-7171, or you may go to ticketmaster.com. You may also view the fight on Pay-Per-View through your local cable or satellite provider.
