Junior Welterweight Champion Amir Khan arrived in New York City today for this fight against Paulie Malignaggi. Khan was accompanied by his trainer Freddie Roach, who was in Los Angeles Saturday for the Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron fight. Roach, who may be a replacement for Lennox Lewis at HBO, was able to get in a “sparring” session with Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant.
According to USATODAY, Manny Pacquiao appears on his way to winning a seat in the the Philippine House of Congress. Nothing can be confirmed, but given his popularity, the outcome seems likely.
