“Sugar” Shane Destroys Collazo

Manndalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV – Sugar Shane Mosley came back down to his natural weight of 147 pounds and cruised through a one-sided match against southpaw Luis Collazo from Brooklyn, NY. Mosley, now 35, proved that he still has what it takes to be the best welterweight around.

Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV – Sugar Shane Mosley came back down to his natural weight of 147 pounds and cruised through a one-sided match against southpaw Louis Collazo from Brooklyn, NY. Mosley, now 35, proved that he still has what it takes to be the best welterweight around.

Once regarded as pound-for-pound best, Mosley is certainly back. All three judges had Mosley winning 10 or 11 rounds. Collazo, the tattooed challenger looked discouraged for most of the fight failing to land anything significant other than a few single shots at a time. Mosley out-punched Collazo by 113 punches and threw far less landing at a 33% while Collazo landed at a dismal 14%.

Collazo`s corner was frustrated with his performance and his unwillingness to let his hands go.

Mosley said that he hopes to fight in July and will wait for the outcome of the mega-fight between Mayweather-De La Hoya to make any further decisions about the end of the year.
