Undefeated prospect Danny O’Connor improves to 9-0

press-header_occonorHOLLYWOOD, FL, September 24– Irish eyes were smiling Wednesday night at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, as undefeated junior welterweight prospect Danny O’Connor improved to 9-0 (3 KOs) with a third round TKO of Patrick Cape.

The victory was the 24-year old O’Connor’s seventh of 2009, making the 2008 US Olympic team alternate one of the most active young fighters in boxing today. The southpaw’s win also showed the continuing maturation of his fight game, as he ended the bout at 1:44 of the third round with a debilitating left uppercut to the body.

O’Connor, a native of Framingham, Massachusetts who is promoted by Seminole Warriors Boxing, is expected back in the ring for more spectacular performances before the end of 2009.
